Chintan PatelMy love for the Tolkien World is huge! I own all 3 books and director's cuts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit and the director's cuts of the 3 movies as well as The Silmarillion. I also have a map of Middle Earth in my bedroom and a replica of Bilbo's sword Sting. The reason I am so enthralled by this fictional universe is that the stories show that adventuring with one's friends can bring great reward and with them, even greater stories.

Safa MazhariAlthough I'm not the biggest fan of Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, I have watched some of the newer movies, which I enjoyed greatly. This project on The Hobbit Cafe has inspired me to take a closer look at Tolkien's books and explore the world he created in them.

Jonathan AdamsThe Hobbit is one of my favorite novels. I really like Tolkien’s approach to world-building, which was really unique for its time. The world is big and stuff happens which isn’t necessarily centered around Bilbo. While I was reading The Hobbit, it didn’t feel like reading about an adventurer, but it felt like reading about another universe. It gave The Hobbit a more realistic sensation.

I've always been drawn to fantasy stories and worlds, and the Hobbit (and Lord of the Rings Trilogy) is no exception. I'll admit my knowledge is limited mostly to the movies, but with my brother being a huge fan, it's been a constant in my life, and gives me a nice feeling of nostalgia.
